The salary structure is established by the Board of Directors and is based on evaluation of nationwide group-practice analysis, ADA data, and local market conditions. These sources are constantly reviewed to maintain a competitive and attractive compensation package.

In addition to a base salary, dentists have the potential of earning additional income on a quarterly basis.

PDA offers an extremely comprehensive medical and dental insurance package with almost no out-of-pocket cost to the employee. A major medical supplement is also provided for a variety of health care services (i.e. chiropractic care, acupuncture). Generous life insurance and professional liability insurance policies are provided as well. Upon joining, you may purchase a short- and long-term disability package, which will be provided upon election to shareholder position.

All full time dentists and specialists who work for PDA (and their spouses or partners and dependents, if applicable) are fully covered through Kaiser Permanente for both medical and dental care.

We respect the need for work/life balance. For example, PDA dentists are on call for only one week per year.

pda-retirement-iconRetirement Plans

PDA’s retirement plan is unique among dental practices. PDA believes that a dentist’s long term financial security is of utmost importance and is addressed by a generous 401(k) employer-paid benefit. The 401(k) Plan is a defined contribution plan in which PDA contributes a minimum percentage of salary for the dentist who has completed one year of service.
