Our pledge:
We are proud of our diverse backgrounds and believe demonstrating our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) positively impacts everyone.
We pledge to make DEIB a priority as part of our personal growth and business goals.
Our teams are inclusive and challenge each other to think differently.
We are committed to ensuring a safe, respectful, positive, and inclusive space by actively participating in DEIB efforts with care, openness and transparency, upholding policies and investing in a substantial program.
Our action:
We actively participate in events and engage in partnerships that demonstrate our commitment to the diverse communities we serve including:
Juneteenth Parade, Portland Pride Parade, National Veterans Wheelchair Games, KP Care and Connect (a partnership among Kaiser Permanente, Medical Teams International and 14 community-based organizations), a quarterly free dental clinic with Community Health Partners and University of Washington dental students at Kaiser Permanente Longview-Kelso Dental Office and more.
We are actively engaged in creating a diverse pipeline of future dentists and denturists through job fairs, scholarships, and direct partnerships with local institutions:
- OHSU School of Dentistry
- University of Washington School of Dentistry
- Portland VA
- Bates Technical College
We provide access to robust training materials including a research-based learning program from the NeuroLeadership Institute.
